We are always looking for qualified Registered Nurse’s, Registered Practical Nurse’s, Foot Care Nurse’s, Personal Support Worker’s, Sitters, and Companions.

​All staff no matter their position must have the following:

​

  • Valid Vulnerable Persons Police Record Check (within 6 months).

  • Valid and current CPR level “C” and First Aid.

  • Up-to-date immunizations (TB, Hep B, Flu Vaccine, MMR, varicella, tetanus/diphtheria).

  • Nurses and PSWs are required to have a Diploma/Certificate from an accredited school.

  • All nurses must be in good standing with the CNO.

  • Fluent in English;  French and other languages are an asset.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Highly organized; Good interpersonal skills; Self-motivated and reliable

  • Confident in their capabilities and training.

  • Compassionate and caring for clients and their needs.

​​Registered Nurse Skill Requirements: 

​

  • Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of university.

  • Credentials:  Current Registration and in good standing with the College of Nurses (CNO).

  • Experience: A minimum 6 months experience is an asset, however we do work with new graduates to assist in your learning experience. 

  • Work Setting: Home care and visiting care agency, Home for the aged, Nursing or convalescent home.

  • Area of Specialization: General duty, Community, Geriatrics, Home care, Mental health, Pediatrics, Palliative care, Psychiatry.

  • Specific Skills: Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions, Collaborate to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care, Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician, Monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions, Provide nursing care, Manage home care cases, Supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff.

  • Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning.

Registered Practical Nurse Skill Requirements:

​

  • Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of university.

  • Specific Skills: Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse, Distribute medication to patients, Change patients' dressings, Bathe and dress patients, Assist registered nurses with various medical procedures, Monitor patients' progress and report any changes.

  • Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning.

 

PSW Skill Requirements:

​

  • Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training.

  • Credentials:  Diploma/Certificate.

  • Experience: A minimum 6 months experience is an asset, however we do work with new graduates to assist in your learning experience.

  • Work Setting: Home care and visiting care agency, Home for the aged, Nursing or convalescent home, accompaniment on appointments & outings.

  • Area of Specialization: General duty, Community, Geriatrics, Home care, Mental health, Pediatrics, Palliative care, Psychiatry.

  • Specific Skills: Assist client with ADL's such as bathe, dress, and groom patients, supervise/assist with clients exercise routines; lift, turn or massage patients.  Follow the perscribed care plan.   Report any and all issues to the Nursing staff concerning any changes with the patient.  Supply and empty bed pans, Serve meal trays and feed patients, Make beds and maintain patients' rooms.

  • Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning.

 

Sitters & Companions Skill Requirements:

​

  • Education: Completion of Grade 12

  • Experience: 6 months to less than 1 year

  • Work Setting: Home care and visiting care agency, Home for the aged, Nursing or convalescent home, accompaniment on appointments & outings.

  • Specific Skills: Provide companionship for the client. Accompanying the client to doctor’s appointments, grocery shopping or other requested locations. Maintain a written record of services. Engage client such as, playing games, reading, watching television, and conversations etc. Care for client’s surroundings as necessary to maintain a safe environment. Report any unusual incidents or changes in the client’s behaviour, condition or circumstances.

 

Additional Skills: Supply and empty bed pans, Serve meal trays and feed patients

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods, Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
